I enjoy making things and solving challenging problems in creative ways. Glassblowing, woodworking, and studio art classes introduced me to the magic of invention. The satisfaction of conceiving and producing functional, beautiful objects inspired me to pursue engineering as a means of making design ideas a reality. Engineering taught me to understand the world in an objective, systematic way, deepening my desire to combine art and science. I found that solving a complex physics problem, while rewarding, left me wondering, “how can this be applied in new and unconventional ways?” While my roots as a designer lie in the physical realm, I've developed a great appreciation and interest in digital design and prototyping. My goal as a designer is to find ways to bridge the gap and explore the area between the physical and the digital.
